Here is a quick review, due to a lack of specific details.
Mum and dad bought a pack of mince pies from (I believe) Home Bargains. I happened to be around at the right time, and grabbed a pie.
I don’t have the exact price, but I believe they were under £1.50 for six pies.
Each pie had granulated sugar on and without a crimp, looked rather round. A star was placed almost in the centre. The general appearance was quite basic and you could see mincemeat around the edges between of the side wall and lid. Hmm.
The mincemeat did have a nice fruity taste, which wasnt too wet, but these pies weren’t going to win any awards with me.

Positive – cheaply priced and contained a good amount of mincemeat +2
Negative – looked too basic -1
Overall – 14/20
After being diagnosed with a raisin and currant allergy (amongst others) i couldn’t eat mince pies, but came across these Huntley and Palmer pies, they contain Sultanas which i am fine with but no currents and raisins! So i know can have mince pies again, they are lovely mince pies, and im happy to be able to eat them again.

Ah, that’s great to hear! I would be rather upset if I couldn’t have mince pies!
