Good morning!
£ I’m unsure of the price of these
Christmas is nearly upon us! Do you have everything in order? I have just remembered I need to get the turkey out of the freezer to thaw in the fridge for a short 40 hours (as per the instructions on the packaging)
A massive thank you to my neighbours, Jon and Heather for providing me with one of the best looking packs o’ pies I’ve seen in a while! I’m very grateful guys!
These pies were from the Clatfords’ Village Store & Post Office, so you know where to go if they’re amazing!
The Viennese swirled topped looks really inviting and is soft to the touch. You can see the enticing black hole of mincemeat in the centre, so really I need to get this packaging open.
The pies are wide and shallow, with a very light dusting of icing sugar on.
The Viennese topping is not overly sweet and is more like a softer biscuit version of a Viennese whirl which also makes it a more interesting bite than just shortcrust. Once you Get to the centre, the mincemeat is thicker and there are tasty whole fruits.
A lighter tasting pie which would make a great pudding or suit those who don’t fancy a pie that’s too rich.
