£1 a bag, 180g
Two of my friends had brought these crisps to my attention, which made me want to purchase them. The latter of the two friends was insistent that they were like Pine air freshener! (Kat)
I do enjoy tasting random flavour combinations, especially if it’s a festive flavour! But would I like these? Or would the flavour be too strong?
I opened the bag and gave the contents a great big sniff. The pine salt is certainly noticeable, but not not enough to put me off. I took just one crisp at first and gave it a thorough chew.
The pine salt has an interesting taste, which I didn’t find too strong, just a bit fragrant. If anything was too strong, it was the saltiness. I offered the bag around to about 20 work colleagues and the overwhelming majority had another crisp or two and didn’t find them ‘that bad’. Two people also said they would buy some.
At £1, they are well priced and, although they are a bit saltier than your normal ready salted, they were a nice snack and a good talking point.
