£1.00 for 4 pies (25p pp)
My wonderful mum brought two packs of these over, along with a large chocolate cake for my wife’s birthday. Thank you!
Here’s the blurb from the website: ASDA Puff Pastry Pies – Website data
I had the pleasure of eating/sharing my mince pie with my nearly-one year old daughter watching my every move. It just occurred to me that both packs of puff pastry mince pies have suffered at the hands of my children! Ah well.
At the best of times I don’t like to share food, but on this occasion I has to give in and let little miss have a tiny bite of my pie. Eye lasers are a thing, you know!
Her small hands made short work of the puff pastry, clawing it into small shreds all over my tshirt and jeans.
The pie was tasty, and there was a good deal of mincemeat but it didn’t taste as good as Sainsbury’s ones. I also enjoyed the fact that all four pies were an even shape and colour.
Taste (1 – 10) – 6/10 – good mincemeat taste and colour.
Value for money (1 – 5) – 4/5
Total – 10/15
