The M&S Website has not got these pies advertised with a price, instead the site just says ‘product unavailable’. The product could still have a price, however available or not the product might be, in case someone wanted to check!
I believe these were £2, but I genuinely cannot remember. If I do remember to go to the shop soon, I’ll check the price.
If they are £2, that’s 33.3p a pie.
Last year’s review can be found here: Marks & Spencer’s 6 All Butter Mince pies
Another box that was incredibly hard to open up. The cardboard flap seems to be glued down with superglue or something, so that the edge has become a ripped cardboard mess, as though a hamster had been tested with opening it.
The clear plastic tray cuddles six pale looking pies with a small star shape cut out and well grooved crimp. The pies look a bit like tractor tyres. The edges of the pie overhang a bit.
The pastry is a bit claggy, not too sweet and the mincemeat is a bit dry. The mincemeat is fruity and tasty, but the pastry lets it down.
Taste – (1 – 10) – 6/10 – Good looking pies, but not amazing
Value for money (1 – 5) – 3/5
Total – 9/15
