4 Crumble Topped Mince Pies

Tesco finest

As of 22 November these are half price when you use your club card. From £3.50 down to £1.75.

Hi, Mrs Phil here again.

The box is nicely presented. There’s a mince pie which has been bitten into, a piece of lemon peel and either the top of a glass of something or a melted candle…it’s hard to say. Ok, when I say it like that it doesn’t sound amazing but it does actually look nice!

There’s also what looks like some christmas tree branches or a wreath. There’s a window on the box so you can see the mince pies inside. They appear to match the picture on the box.

At the bottom of the box it simply says ‘serving suggestion’! So are we supposed to serve these under a christmas tree with a slice of lemon peel?? I’ll stick to a plate, thanks!

Now to get into them. They’re not the easiest box to open, either by me or Mr Phil! Once opened, you’ll Definitely, need a plate because of the crumble element.

They’re a good size and have a festive scent. The mincemeat is [it was at this point that Mrs Phil was stuck on the word ‘strong’ for her description of the mincemeat]. The mincemeat is quite thick, and you can taste whole fruits; it’s not cooked down to nothing, so that’s a plus.

The crumble top adds a different element and texture to help break up the boredom you might get with an all-mincemeat-offering.
