By Aldi. £1.99.
For today’s lunch time offering, we’ve got a parsnip fritter with cranberry chutney and sage & onion mayonnaise on oatmeal and poppy seed bread.
The price is good, I think £1.99 is very good, so i’m already feeling positive.
The green packaging sets it aside from other sandwiches, much like the green strip on most electric cars tells people that the car is electric.
I made the green connection, that’s all I had in that moment.
Back to the sandwich. I hope there is a savoury element to it, I do have a savoury tooth.
The parsnip fritter has a good mouthfeel, and when mixed with the stuffing is a nice combination. The cranberry offers the festive twang you’ve come to expect from a festive meal too.
The stuffing offers some different texture as well. It’s pretty easy to eat. As a vegan sandwich, i’m not disappointed in the taste and would try it again.
