Phil Reviews Mince Pies

In an all butter pastry.

My son and daughter are helping me review these.

The packaging is nice and neat, Black and gold is a smart design, just ask Waitrose. I do prefer this packaging to theirs though.

Now to see whether the opened pies look anything like the promise on the box. We have an 8 pointed star, which is rather messy. Each pie is sprinkled with a bit of icing sugar and there’s a pleasant fruity scent.

But it goes downhill from here, The mincemeat is really bland! My first bite was mostly unsweetened pastry. The mincemeat is flavourless and I’d go as far as to advise not to buy these. 2 for taste.

What a disappointment!

My children, however, ate them and said they were ‘good’… if that sways you 🙂
